For decades this study was a staple proof for IQ dysgenics enthusiasts. It confirmed their suspicions that the West was in terminal intellectual decline since selection for fertility reversed in the 19th century. Here, we do our best to debunk this paper.

The UN’s methodology for forecasting fertility has remained largely unchanged. For many countries these forecasts are consistently inaccurate. Here, we attempt to produce a successor. The results could be described as unexpected.
